Throwing taster session
Group pottery session
6 week throwing course
6 week hand-building course
In January 2024, we will be reducing our teaching days to weekends only for a few months while we catch up on commissioned work. After spring we will have sessions avaliable from Wednesday - Sunday. We do take bookings in advance so please get in touch if you would like to book on a weekday later in the year.
This fun and intensive day session will focus on everything glazes and kilns. Learn about understanding recipes, cones & kilns, firing techniques, making test tiles, and applications of glazes.
Important Workshop Information
Working with clay can be very messy, we will supply aprons but suggest wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting mucky. We also recommend that you remove jewellery and tie long hair back.
We will always take great care when firing your pots, but we cannot be held responsible for any work cracks or gets damaged inside the kiln. This is something that is out of our control.
We are not responsible for how you use your pots once they have left our workshop.
Workshops must be paid for in full two weeks before your session or course begins. All deposits (1/3rd of total payment) are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
If you need to rearrange your workshop for another date you can rebook once. If you cancel your rebooked session no reimbursement will be offered.
Redbraes is a functioning pottery so it is very important that you follow our safety instructions when working in our studio and using our equipment. You will be required to fill out a registration form prior to or at the start of your workshop.
We aim to have your pots ready to collect within 3 weeks of your workshop. Once you have been notified that your work is ready we will hold it for 8 weeks before disposing of it. Contact is if you are unable to pick up your work within the 8 weeks.
